Requiring help with care on short notice
When their domestic helper left abruptly, Mrs G’s family struggled to find an alternative form of care for their mother on short notice. Prior to this, Mrs G, who has dementia, was cared for by her helper while her children were busy working or running errands during the day. Fortunately, her children were very committed to providing the best care for their mother and turned to SilverAlly for help in coming up with a new care plan for their mother.
SilverAlly’s home visit
One of SilverAlly’s care managers, Alexandriia, visited the family at home to better understand their needs and concerns, and to do a comprehensive assessment of her current state of health, medical history, and home environment. After the session, Mrs G’s medical condition was reviewed by a doctor, and our team came up with a customised care plan for her based on her needs and her family’s budget and preferences.
Next step: A comprehensive Care Plan
Since then, SilverAlly has helped to make daycare and transport arrangements for Mrs G, and has proposed a plan (including seeking advice from a geriatrician, nutritionist, and occupational therapist) to improve her lifestyle and living environment to help her age-in-place happily and healthily.
